Your face looks tired, even after a good night's sleep?
Puffy in the morning. Frown lines that stay. A face that feels "held" all day. Often it's not just your skin: it's tension in the muscles underneath. Two face massages tackle this in different ways: Japanese Kobido and Korean Korugi.
Kobido: the calming one
Kobido means "the ancient way of beauty". It was born in Japan in 1472, from traditional Anma massage. Fast and slow rhythmic movements alternate with pressure and lymphatic drainage on the face, neck and décolleté.
- Depuffs: drainage helps with morning puffiness
- Brings back colour: better circulation, more radiant skin
- Softens tension and expression lines
- Deeply relaxing: many clients drift off on the table
Korugi: the sculpting one
Korugi is a Korean high-pressure technique. It works deep in the facial muscles, not just the skin, to change the shape of the face.
- Lifts the cheekbones
- Defines the face contour
- Firms: skin looks tighter and more hydrated

- Tight jaw too? Add a 20-minute buccal massage (€22) to either one.
- Can't decide? Book either: your therapist will adjust the session to your face.
You'll see a difference after the first session. For a longer-lasting result, start with weekly sessions; your therapist will set the frequency.

FAQ
Does Korugi hurt? The pressure is strong but never more than you can take. Tell your therapist and she'll adapt it.
I've had Botox or fillers. Can I come? Wait at least 5 weeks after injections, and longer after a surgical facelift.
When should I skip it? With inflamed skin, a rash or allergy, a fever or a contagious illness.
